Lh. Hinnavaru · Lhaviyani Atoll
The quiet one. A retreat built around shaded courtyard calm in the heart of Hinnavaru — village life on your doorstep, stillness within.
The Island
Hinnavaru is a living Maldivian community in Lhaviyani Atoll — cafés, mosques, a working harbour and streets of coral-stone and colour.
Staying in the village heart puts the real Maldives around you: morning fish markets, the scent of hedhikaa frying at tea time, and neighbours who greet you by name by day two. The beach and harbour are always a short stroll away.
Lhaviyani — known traditionally as Faadhippolhu — sits in the country's north, about 120 km from Malé. It is one of the Maldives' great diving atolls: fast channel drifts, famous wrecks at the Shipyard, turtle-rich reefs and lagoons that fade from jade to deep blue. Only four of its islands are inhabited, so the sea here still feels wide open.
